Is Eve to blame? Did her hunger for knowledge get us all into trouble? Education is an important factor in our development, and in too many parts of the world women and girls still struggle to gain access to knowledge and learning. Even in societies where women outnumber men in universities and colleges, women often still earn less or sit in silence. At the same time there have always been women who have influenced their world, their churches and their societies.
